PEORIA (HEART OF ILLINOIS ABC) -- Hundreds of dollars are back in a family's bank account after they turned to the Troubleshooters for help.
On June 9th, Rick Pantages' daughter went to Rainstorm Car Wash on Allen Road in Peoria.
During the wash her mirror was knocked off.
After silence from the company and a repair bill close to $400, Rick asked the Troubleshooters for help.
Soon after the teams visit to the car wash Rick's daughter got an email from the manager.
The family received an apology and was told there would be a rush on the check.
The check was in their mailbox a few weeks later.
"I was very surprised and happy when we finally received it...If you're ever in a situation where you felt you've been wronged, just be persistent and keep at it and keep at it and sometimes good things do happen," said Rick.
After the Troubleshooters story aired the team heard from others who had a similar situation.
They're talking to the manager now to try and get their problem resolved.
Rick said he and his daughter are happy this situation is over.
He was offered free car washes, but declined.
