The Republican candidate for Illinois Comptroller, Darlene Sanger is questioning incumbent Susana Mendoza’s loyalty to the state.
Senger spoke Thursday in Peoria office about her mission, vision and goals for the comptroller’s office.
A big focus of hers is the backlog of bills weighing on the state’s shoulders.
“We need to sit down and really get our hands around the pension problem. This is still the biggest problem in the state, and I can bring a lot to the table on that. We don’t need to re-do the work that has been done,” said Senger.
Senger also believes in combining the Comptroller’s and the Treasurer’s offices.
