Canton Union School District Facebook page alludes to second school threat this week

Late Thursday afternoon, a post was made on the Canton Union School District #66 Facebook page, alluding to another threat found at the school.

This marks the second note posted about a potential threat to the school this week.

Thursday’s note said, “This afternoon Canton High School administrators discovered a vague message written on a stall in the 1st floor girl’s bathroom. In response, district officials immediately contacted the Canton Police department.”

The post said the incident is under investigation by local and state police agencies.

This comes just a day before the high school plans to have a Veteran’s Day assembly in the gym Friday morning. The school is asking everyone to be aware during the assembly and said there will be heightened police presence in and around the school.

The school added that the previous incident is also still under investigation. You can read about the previous incident here.
