A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for much of the area. This is in effect from 6 PM Friday through Saturday night. The area could see between 5-7 inches of accumulating snow. This could create some hazardous driving conditions.

A WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued for Logan & Mason counties from 6 PM tonight to 6 AM Sunday. These counties could see 6-8 inches of snow.

We’ll see snow overspread the area late this evening, and becoming moderate to heavy at times. This snow will continue throughout the day on Saturday. In total we could see anywhere from 5-7 inches from Peoria to Bloomington Normal. Areas South could see 6-8 inches of snow. Major travel disruptions are likely tonight and Saturday. The good news is we’ll see the snow end by Sunday Morning and the roads should be in good shape on Monday morning.

Today: Increasing clouds. Highs in the low to middle 30s. Winds out of the south at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Snow showers arrive. Becoming moderate to heavy after midnight. 3-4 inches possible
