Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

We are in for a summer-like day with highs in the middle 80s today. It will also be breezy with strong Southwesterly winds gusting to 25 mph at times. This will help to pump warm, humid and unstable air into the region. We will see a cold front move South this evening becoming stationary around the I-74 corridor. The main threats will be Damaging winds and hail. The tornado threat is almost zero in Central Illinois with today’s system. The area that has the best chance to see strong to severe storms is North of I-74 from Marshall to Livingston counties and points North.

Storms will develop late this evening around 9 or 10 PM. Then continue throughout the overnight hours as a line of storms pushes towards I-74.

Today: Warm, Humid, & Windy. Highs in the middle to upper 80s. Storms develop this evening.

Tonight: Showers and Storms. Some may be severe, especially North of I-74. Lows in the mid to upper 60s.
