The Heart of Illinois dodged the bullet for severe weather Monday night. The warm front we were watching didn’t make it as far north as forecasted. So, most of the severe storms stayed well south of the area.
Today we are waking up to some patchy fog across the area. We’ll see the clouds stick around for much of the day today before gradually becoming partly cloudy this evening. High pressure builds into the area for Wednesday and Thursday giving us cool & calm conditions with highs in the low 80s. Our next rain chances arrive as we head into the weekend. We will see several systems move through the area giving us daily rain chances Friday through Sunday.
Today: Mostly cloudy with gradually clearing skies in the evening. Highs in the middle 80s.
Tonight: Partly cloudy & mild. Lows in the middle to upper 60s.
